About Me

I have been an educator for 19 years. My range of experience has been teaching Pre-Kindergarten-4th grade students at a Dual Language campus implementing a two-way model with a primary focus on Math and Science.

In 2021-22, I transitioned into a different educational role. I am currently a Dyslexia Interventionist in McAllen ISD servicing Kinder-5th grade students. My students are my why and they are the reason I collaborated in developing and designing our Innovation Plan. Our goal is to create equitable accessible learning for all in a significant learning environment, tailored to students' needs. My core group of collaborators proposed this was our time to implement a blended learning model.  After our students returned from remote learning due to the Covid shutdown, we needed to reignite their engagement and motivation for learning

With the year of implementation, the successes in the classroom have been instrumental in students' refocus, motivation, and academic gains.
